Mathira Mohammad was born on 25 February 1992 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Her father was a South African, and her mother was a Pakistani. She passed O and A levels from Zimbabwe and moved to Pakistan with her family at 13 years old to escape Zimbabwe’s political instability. She has a sister named Rose Mohammad.

Mathira first started her career with yoga lessons on a private TV channel in Pakistan. She then worked on the music video, and the video became very popular. She then shot for a cover of a top Pakistani fashion magazine.
In 2011, Mathira hosted a show called “Love Indicator” on Vibe TV late at night and became the first Pakistani woman to host a night program. She made her Indian film industry debut in 2013 with the Indian Punjabi film” Young Malang. “And the same year she made her Lollywood debut with the Pakistani film “Main Hoon Shahid Afridi.”
